Students began their day with a final breakfast at Canberra Park Accomodation and catering that had ensured we were happy campers during our time away. Our early birds were prompt to pack up their dorms and depart for Camp Kookaburra. The quiet bus trip was a clear indicator that our time in Canberra was well spent making the most of every opportunity we had.
The stop at Gundagai was a little different to when we visited a few days earlier… A few raindrops said hello as we snacked on fruit and biscuits before eagerly getting back on the bus to continue the journey. Lunch at Glenrowan was a good chance to walk up to the top of the information centre and learn more about Ned Kelly and his gang along with their numerous adventures. When we arrived at Camp Kookaburra at 4:30pm and were able to have a large amount of time enjoying the space as we did a few days earlier before dinner. After dinner, we went for a walk to say hello to the locals (sheep and alpacas) and took part in a Quiz Night all about what we had learnt on camp! Winners would be awarded with a famous Mrs Ransom Potato Cake so stakes were high! We congratulate Caitlin, Chloe, and Stella J! Students were keen to get a good nights sleep and prepare for the last leg of the journey tomorrow, eager to see their families when we arrive back in Mount Gambier but more importantly to get their shopping from Questacon and the Australian Institute of Sport! Sweet dreams all!
