For our final mass in Timor, we were joined by our guests from last night. At the end we were presented with a St Bakhita Statue that we can hopefully find a home for in the Tenison Woods College chapel.
We gifted a computer to the girls and their excitement and joy was a pleasure to witness. Ben Carson was spot on when he said, "Happiness doesn’t result from what we get, but from what we give."
Our guests joined us for breakfast, then we said our goodbyes and headed off back to Dili. A quick shop at the Tais market to spend the money we had left then lunch at Burger King. We all enjoyed a little taste of home and ate way too much!
It was sad saying goodbye to our drivers and Eddie at the airport. There were a few tears, even from our beloved driver Freddie, it is amazing the connections we can make in such a short space of time. We said goodbye to Mrs Fisher and are looking forward to a swim and good shower in Darwin.
We can’t wait to share more about this wonderful trip when we return. Obrigada
