Today we celebrated mass in the chapel at Bakhita, word had got around the village and numbers had doubled from yesterday.
Fr Olek asked us to read Saint Bakhitas story and think about the eulogy values in that and what we would want ours to be. Fr Olek blessed some rosary beads kindly donated by the Mount Gambier Parish Rosary group and Adele Eramo. The people from the community were very grateful.
Troupes were packed and we then began our drive to Hatolia. The roads were very ordinary with large sections just disappearing down step cliffs. Our arrival into the parish was very special. The Timor school student created a path to the church with some young dancers leading us to our home for the next 5 nights. We had a quiet afternoon playing with the many local students who came to say hello.
