BYOD - Protective Cases: A must for your BYOD
04.06.2021
Students are frequently moving around the school and when doing so, or when not using them in classes, their devices must be protected in a bag or case.
For lessons where their device is not needed at all, it should be securely stored in their locker.
When choosing a bag, consider the size, weight, carrying options, protection offered and a soft lining (if not using a protective sleeve). For examples click here
Protective cases and covers are also available via the Parent BYOD purchase portal.
Tablet protection
While they are quite robust, tablets as a minimum require covers to protect their screen.
To further boost productivity, covers with built-in keyboards can make tablets more 'laptop like'.
- A carry bag with shoulder strap allows students to carry their device securely when travelling between classes. Soft sleeves or inserts can provide further protection inside a bag.
- Full body covers can provide scratch and dent protection, with some versions including handholds or built in stands.

Laptop protection
- Laptops normally only require a suitably sized laptop bag with a shoulder strap.
- Soft sleeves or inserts can provide further protection inside a bag.
