Battery life and Wifi

As technology rapidly improves, these are becoming less of an issue.

Battery life

  • Minimum 6 hours and MORE is always better, as a batteries run time degrades with charge cycles/age.
  • When choosing a laptop that has 3 year warranty, check that battery replacement is also covered. Most laptops in the purchase portal include 3 year battery replacement as standard. Please confirm when you make your choice.

Wifi

  • Newer laptops will support WIFI 6, which is much better but not essential.
  • WIFI 5 - was previously called 'ac'
  • WIFI 4 - was previously called 'n'

Earlier wifi versions such as 'a, b and g' have much lower performance and are not recommended.
