College Captains & Student Leadership

2025 College Captains - Andi Corfield and Sam Crispino

Sam Crispino

2025 College Captain

Having joined Tenison Woods College in Semester 2 of 2013 as a Reception student, this school has been more than just a place of education for me—it has been a space where I’ve built lifelong relationships and treasured experiences. Guided by the SHINE ethos, I’ve been able to showcase my skills and strive for personal excellence, fostering a balanced approach to learning and social connections within our community.
Throughout my journey, I’ve been supported by compassionate and driven educators, inspiring me to be both successful and a role model for others. Beyond the classroom, my leadership abilities have been shaped by my involvement in football, where I give 110%, focus on teamwork, and recognize the importance of every individual in creating a united and connected environment.

Together with Andi and our talented leadership teams in 2025, I aim to embody the key traits of attentiveness, generosity, and perseverance. These qualities will help us empower all students to thrive, ensure everyone feels included, and provide a strong voice for our school community.

Andi Corfield

2025 College Captain

Moving to Tenison Woods College in Year 10, two years ago, alongside my younger brother Noah (now in Year 8), was one of the most significant moments in my life. This change has not only allowed me to further my education and feel safe within a supportive school community but also introduced me to incredible people—friends, fellow students, and inspiring teachers.
Many of you may already know me from my after-school commitments. I dance, teach, and work every evening at MJ Dance Studio and play soccer for Gambier Centrals Soccer Club. These experiences have strengthened my leadership skills and helped me form meaningful connections, contributing to my personal and professional growth.
As a leader, I am guided by three key principles: student voice, equality, and community. My aim is to be an approachable and supportive presence for all members of the Tenison Woods College community—whether through one-on-one conversations or anonymous feedback—actively seeking ideas to enhance each student’s experience.
I’m excited to share this leadership journey with Sam and look forward to collaborating with the Year 6, 9, and 12 leaders, the wider leadership team, teachers, and families. Together, we can create a school environment that fosters mutual support, celebrates diversity, and encourages excellence, making 2025 an unforgettable year for us all!

Student Leadership

At Tenison Woods College, fostering wellbeing involves cultivating a strong culture of student leadership. We believe self-determined learners are "well beings." We offer a range of opportunities for students to develop leadership skills through formal roles such as Senior, Middle, and Junior Leadership positions, as well as initiatives like Little Leaders, STARs, Middle School Council, and the Student Representative Council.
