District Council Of Grant Scholarship Awarded To Aleisha Brook

11.09.24

Every year, the District Council of Grant provides a scholarship to a student with a strong academic record, demonstrated involvement in school activities, and strong evidence of supporting the school’s values and ethos.  The student must reside in the District Council of Grant region. This year’s recipient of the District Council of Grant Scholarship for $750 is Year 12 student, Aleisha Brook. Aleisha is recognised for her strong academic record having achieved three subject awards in Year 11, and outstanding grades in Year 12.  This year, Aleisha is a Woods Founder Leader, with the team winning both the Sports and Swimming Carnivals.  She has balanced her studies and extracurricular activities with working at Star Chemist for the last four years, in addition to volunteering at Hype Dance where she is an assistant teacher for 5 to 9 year olds. In 2023, Aleisha travelled to Timor-Leste for the annual immersion trip, a trip that she says taught her many valuable lessons about gratitude, empathy and how to better connect with others. In 2026, Aleisha hopes to attend university to study psychology.  We congratulate Aleisha on her award!
