Year 9/10 Knockout Netball Advance to Division 1 Final

21.08.24

Monday 5 August, marked the final day of the Knockout Netball Carnivals, held indoors at Wulanda Recreation Centre. The 9/10 girls team played exceptionally well throughout the day, securing convincing victories in all four of their matches.

In the minor rounds, they faced Millicent High School, St Martins Lutheran College and later Mount Gambier High School, emerging with strong victories in each game. These wins secured their position at the top of their pool, setting up a match against Bordertown High School, who were second in another pool.

The team made a strong start, limiting Bordertown High School to just three goals in the first half. Their impressive defensive performance continued into the second half, with the ball rarely reaching the goal circle. We were eventual winners by over 20 goals. This dominant performance has earned them a spot in the Division 1 knockout netball finals. The team will compete alongside the Year 7/8 and Open teams in Adelaide during Week 6. We thank Kelly Lockwood for attending the day and umpiring for us.
