Junior School Music Immersion Day

05.07.24

Junior Music Immersion Day was held at the Main Corner Complex last Friday, celebrating our Blaze Choir and Year 6 Band. Students had a chance to immerse themselves in music making and fun activities as they increased their literacy and numeracy skills found embedded in their music. They were challenged to extend their ensemble skills and learn to collaborate, communicate, and challenge each other to reach personal bests, all as they prepare for future performances later in the year.

The day concluded with a standout performance to family and friends with Blaze performing “I Must Clean My Room” and “Small Stuff” and Year 6 band showcasing an excerpt from “This Land – The Lion King” as well as full rendition of “African Folk Trilogy”. We praised team “Grand Pabbie” for taking out the win in the challenges and celebrated Amelia Holmes and Luke Olivier receiving the award for Best Campers of the Day.

This event could not have happened without the amazing work of the students involved, family and friends, and the amazing staff at the Main Corner Complex. A special thank you goes out to staff, Sarah Raymond, Tara Gladigau, Penny Mansell, Nicole Philipson, Fiona Matheson, and Krysten Von Duve for their amazing work both in the lead up and on the day.
