Speak Chinese - Eat Chinese

25.06.24

Tenison Woods College Year 7 and 8 Students of Chinese spoke and ate Chinese at the same time in Week 7, as they believe one cannot speak a language well until he lives the culture behind it. The students made their own Chinese dumplings and learnt to talk about the food with Ms Wu, the preservice teacher working with them, before they sat down to enjoy their creations with Mr Chen's special sauce!  This is a celebration of their semester-long  Chinese journey. Many students were asking about the China Trip, which Mr Chen is organising for next year, a trip where they will experience much more than eating Chinese dumplings!

Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
