Students attend University Expo

02.04.24

On Wednesday 21 March, 28 Year 12 students attended a University Expo at the Riddoch Arts & Cultural Centre.  The session commenced with a presentation covering accommodation options, application dates and portals, and pathways.  Students were then able to speak to university representatives, including Deakin University, Monash University, La Trobe University, Victoria University, and the University of Tasmania in addition to the three South Australian universities – Adelaide, University of South Australia and Flinders.  This was a wonderful opportunity for students to ask about course options and learn what each university had to offer, with many students excited by overseas study options, paid placements and campus life. Leaving with a haul of brochures (and lollipops), students have plenty to review in the coming weeks.

This event follows on from the University of Adelaide visiting Tenison Woods College in the same week and speaking with students one-on-one and making a presentation.  The next visit will be from Flinders University on 30 May where one-on-one appointments are available, followed by a lunch time presentation.  Students are strongly encouraged to attend these events.

Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
