SAPSASA District Athletics Day

02.04.24

The grounds of Mt Gambier High School recently played host to the District SAPSASA Athletics event for 2024, where students from various schools gathered to showcase their athletic talent. Among the participants, Tenison Woods College stood out with an impressive turnout, bringing along 62 students eager to demonstrate their skills on the track and field.

Tenison Woods College athletes truly made their mark, with many achieving commendable results and securing podium finishes. While the official results are yet to be announced, it's certain that the college will have numerous placegetters to celebrate.

Beyond the thrill of competition, the day was also a testament to the importance of sportsmanship and camaraderie. Students exhibited exemplary behaviour, showing respect for their fellow competitors and officials alike. Their dedication, discipline, and positive attitude were truly commendable, reflecting the values instilled by their school community.

None of this would have been possible without the tireless support of teachers and parents who accompanied the students to the event. Their encouragement, guidance, and logistical assistance were instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of the day. Their presence underscored the importance of parental and educational support in nurturing young talent and fostering a love for sports.

As we eagerly await the official results, let us extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the students who represented Tenison Woods College with pride and sportsmanship. Your hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed, and you have made your school community proud.
