Library Lovers Day

19.02.24

On Wednesday we celebrated a wonderful annual tradition that we have participated in since 2008, Library Lovers’ Day!

Library Lovers’ Day which was started in 2006 by the State Library of NSW is now celebrated internationally each year on 14 February. It is a day to honour libraries, librarians, and library lovers, and the valuable role that libraries play in our lives.

At Tenison Woods College we have spread the library love through our book displays, pop-up lunchtime event and students heart artwork! We also held a competition for staff to get to know our library and all the wonderful things they love about it.

Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
