Remembrance Day Assembly

16.11.23

We opened our Rememberance Day Assembly on Friday with our Hymn Ensemble, 2024 School Captains Teangi Stephens and Bree Robinson, welcomed students and our special guests to the assembly.

We were joined by RSL President Bob Sandow, who shared the moving stories about the four Tenison Woods College Flyers; Anthony Casadio, John Fredrichs, Errol Kavanagh and Reg van Leuvan. Year 10 student Willam, played the ODE of Remembrance on the Trumpet, and did an outstanding job. Bob then announced the deserving winner of the 2023 Flyers Award, Paul Hammond, for his incredible work in the College and local community. We then heard from Commander Peter Coulson, who made a special presentation to the College of framed memorabilia, showcasing Anthony Casadio’s Replica Medals.

We also announced our new Student Leadership team for 2024! We can't wait to see these students step into their new roles next year and SHINE!
