03.10.23

There was music, there was dance, there was acting and there was popcorn as families, students and staff of Tenison Woods College gathered at the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre last Wednesday for a fabulous Performing Arts Showcase entitled “A Night At The Movies.”

The Senior Ensembles of Saxophone Ensemble, Rock Bands 1 and 2, Drama Skits, Years 7, 8 and 10 Class Jazz dancers, Senior Vocal Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Concert Choir, Thunder Drum Corps, Stage 1 Girls Dance troupe, Senior Boys Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble performed an entertaining array of acts. The final act brought together the music and dance faculties in an impressive performance of “Greatest Show” from The Greatest Showman.

Our special guest artists, the Year 5/6 Blaze Choir impressed the audience with their rendition of “Can’t Stop The Feeling”.

Thank you to our Friends of Music Committee members for their assistance on the night and to our very talented Performing Arts staff for their nurturing of music, dance and drama.

For those who attended, we hope you had a great night, and for those who couldn’t make it, we will return next year for another night of entertainment – hope you will join us! For more photos from the night please see Page 11.
