Horticulture Students Visit Holla-Fresh

21.06.23

Recently, the Certificate II Horticulture students had the opportunity to visit Holla-Fresh, a leading hydroponic grower in Australia, located in Tantanoola. This remarkable facility boasts over 4 hectares of herbs grown undercover, showcasing the vast potential of hydroponic cultivation.

During the visit, the students were given a tour of the operation by Ian, who introduced them to the impressive scale of Holla-Fresh. The size of the facility left the students in awe, highlighting the magnitude of the operation and the dedication behind it.

Holla-Fresh's hydroponic systems were a focal point of the tour. The students witnessed the meticulous arrangement of rows and the precise nutrient delivery to the plants. The hydroponic channels efficiently distributed nutrient-rich water, ensuring optimal growth while conserving water resources.

The students left Holla-Fresh with a newfound appreciation for hydroponics and its potential in addressing food security and sustainable agriculture.

We extend our sincere thanks to Ian and the entire Holla-Fresh team for opening their doors to us and providing this enriching experience.
