Year 8 Student Receives Music Award

Year 8 student, Laura, has been awarded the AMEB Grade 2 Brass ABODA Prize. Laura currently learns the French Horn under the guidance of Tameka Nube.

On Saturday April 15, Laura was invited to the Elder Conservatorium of Music at Adelaide University for the Annual AMEB SA & NT Awards Ceremony that celebrates exceptional achievement of participating candidates.

After completing her AMEB Grade 2 Comprehensive French Horn exam in Term 3 of 2022 and receiving a High Distinction, Laura’s level of performance in the exam stood out amongst all other examinees completing their Grade 2 woodwind/ brass exam under the jurisdiction of the AMEB SA & NT office.

As stated by the AMEB office; ‘this is an outstanding achievement, particularly commended because of the highly competitive field from which she won’.

Laura is to be congratulated for her dedication in building her technical and performance skills as a musician.
