A Message from Julio Teodoro, 2023 Mission Leader

Later this year in August, I will be joining thousands of young Catholics from around the world in the international event ‘World Youth Day’, which will be held in Lisbon, Portugal. As well as attending this festival, I will also undergo placement in a parish for a week. World Youth Day will be a fantastic opportunity to collaborate and explore my faith with the likes of millions of other young Catholics. From this experience, I hope to return to the school and parish community with a stronger faith and love for God, and new ideas to implement in our own school and parish.

This experience comes with financial cost and there will be some fund-raising activities to help me fund a portion of the travelling expense. I will be hosting some fundraising events over the next couple of months and I am asking for the help of the parish. I will be organising a donut drive and a carwash. Please keep an eye on the bulletin over the next couple of weeks on some ways that you may be able to financially support me.
