Craig Baker Secures School-Based Apprenticeship

07.12.22

Year 11 student Craig Baker, will commence a school-based apprenticeship this month. Employed by Group Training Employment, Craig will complete an automotive apprenticeship with Barry Maney Group. Craig will continue to attend school for one day a week which will see him achieve his SACE in 2023. Craig has been a wonderful example of actively exploring diverse learning opportunities. These have included completion of a Certificate III in Hospitality via a school-based traineeship where he regularly worked in our Sugarloaf Café, and participation in the Forest Industry Pathways program over two years.

Following his work placement at Barry Maney Group in November, Craig received the following glowing report: “Craig worked with lots of different technicians, they were all very impressed with his attitude and approach to work, so much so, that they told me to employ him”.

Well done, Craig! We wish you every success.
