Nic Newling Presents at Tenison Woods College

On Tuesday 8 November, Year 9 to 11 students heard from inspiring mental health advocate, Nic Newling, as he shared his lived experience of Mental Illness and a message of hope.

Nic is an international speaker who has featured on The TODAY Show, Australian Story, Huffington Post, and has shared his message through major radio stations and newspapers.

Nic was engaging, thought-provoking and provided insights into his mental illness and how he utilised his family, peer, and professional supports in his journey to recover and heal. Nic also highlighted the supports available to our students.

Thank you to Tracey Wanganeen from StandBy Support After Suicide in organising Nic to return to Mount Gambier with the support of Wellbeing SA.
