Remembrance Day 2022

16.11.22

Last Friday, 11 November we recognised Remembrance Day.

Our 2023 School Captains, Gael Chizungu and Aden Clarke, along with students and staff representing Airforce Cadets of 612 squadron and the 48 Army Cadet Unit, laid a wreath at the local monument with other members of the community. We also held our annual assembly in the Barrie Holmes Stadium, presenting our Tenison Woods Flyer Award, awarded to Year 11 Student Craig Baker, and Aden Clarke being recognised with a Student Citizenship Award.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."

Lest we forget

Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
