Year 9/10 Knockout Basketball

26.10.22

On Monday 24 October, our Year 9/10 knockout basketball teams played in Round 1 of the School Sport SA Knockout Competition in Mount Barker.

Our girls team, coached by Tom Daly, played two games against Cardijn College and Encounter College. In both games the girls managed to pull away with a strong lead which they maintained throughout the matches, winning the first game 39-12 and the second 40-20.

The boys, coached by Richard Hill, also played two games against Cardijn College and Encounter College. The boys showed their dominance, winning 50- 26 in the first match and 40-37 in the second, resulting in the team finishing first in their pool. This resulted in the boys playing a third match against the top team in the second pool, Adelaide High. With all players taking the court and showing excellent sportsmanship, the team secured their third win of the day 58-12.

We are very proud of the way the students conducted themselves and supported each other throughout the day. Thank you to all staff involved in organising, coaching and assisting with the trip. Congratulations to all teams involved and we look forward to hearing more results as they progress into Round 2 later this Term.
