Congratulations to Year 11 student, Amity Starick, who has been selected as a Media Rookie for the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup later this month!

Amity will be in Sydney on 26-27 September at the Sydney Super Dome, where she’ll attend press conferences, sit alongside international reporters and interview some of the best female basketball players in the world!

Amity applied for the program in late August and was chosen from hundreds of applicants to be shortlisted for the program. She then had an interview last Friday and was one of the 2 selected applicants from around Australia.

She will also head to Melbourne this Saturday to write for the NBL1 South Grand Final between the Pioneers and the Hobart Chargers for the SE Voice, where she has been working as a reporter since February 2022.
