Academy of Hospitality Cook for Sunset Kitchen

13.04.22

Year 10 Academy of Hospitality students recently produced meals for Sunset Community Kitchen, cooking 200 serves of pasta bolognaise, roasted vegetables and meatballs for distribution through the facility.

The meals will provide an extension to the standard provision of meals on Monday and Wednesday evenings, the serves will be frozen and shared with clients to assist with meals on days when the Sunset Community Kitchen is not operating. Students have used the opportunity to serve others in their community, whilst also accessing produce grown in the school garden, adding an extra dimension of connection between the College and Sunset Kitchen.

Thank you to our VET Hospitality students for their efforts under the guidance of chef Jenny Vanikiotis in the Sugarloaf kitchen. Congratulations on your participation in supporting our community and 'Being The One' who can make a difference.

Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
