Music Intensive Rehearsals

30.03.22

Last week, three of our Generations In Jazz Choirs and Big Band participated in a two day excursion to the Wehl Street Theatre for Intensive Rehearsals in which students practiced with their ensembles to get ready for the GIJ competition and came together for some team building activities.

On the first day, students were assigned teams and participated in a quiz, with Team number 2 each walking away with a large block of chocolate and some major bragging rights.

This year, again due to restrictions, we were not permitted to put on a performance for families or for one of our Sister Schools. Instead, each ensemble showcased their hard work to their peers.

A huge thank you to staff and students that helped out with and attended the Intensive Rehearsal days. It was great to see Year 7 though to Year 12 students working together and making connections.
