Interschool Athletics Carnival

30.03.22

On Wednesday 23 March, we enjoyed a fantastic Interschool Athletics Carnival! It was an amazing day for our athletes who represented our College with pride.

The overall results for the day provided a nail-biting finish, with Mount Gambier High School finishing the day in 1st place with 695 points, as we finished a close 2nd with 661 points. The athletes who competed should be commended on their ability to participate with such a quick turnaround from our own carnival last week.

A huge congratulations to Year 10 student, Rex Jones, as he broke a high jump record set back in 2003 (1.8m), with Rex jumping 1.93m!

As a team, we were clear contenders in each overall division. Our divisional age group placing as follows:
1st -13yr
3rd -14yr
1st -15yr
3rd -16yr

A huge thank you to Tara Millard, Brad Maney, Elyse Willoughby, Chris Raymond, Sharon Adams, Lisa Goodfellow, John MacGregor and George Adamopoulos for their efforts in supporting our athletes by helping run the carnival.

Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
