Staff at Tenison Woods College have the opportunity to support the San Francisco Xavier College, Hatolia, Timor-Leste, The Marist Brothers Teachers College, Baucau, Timor-Leste and the Holy Family Care Centre (HFCC) in South Africa – Director Sr Sally Duigan.

$2,000 USD was recently gifted to San Francisco Xavier College where the money will go towards running the school’s programs for the year.

The staff also support 4 students at the Marist Brothers Teachers College. Ana Sersia de Assis Belo is one of these students. She is 21 and lives in New Town in Baucau. Her parents are alive, but her father is unable to work because he has had what we would call a nervous breakdown. He doesn't speak anymore and Ana's mother can't work because he needs so much care. Ana is the first of 4 children and was thinking of leaving ICFP because of finance. Because of the support from staff she now has the opportunity to complete her degree. Nelia and Bernardo are two other students we support and they recently graduated from the College. We wish them both well as they begin their career as teachers in Timor-Leste.
