Beginning of Year Mass

16.03.22

Last Thursday morning 10 March, our College community came together in the picturesque Marist Park for the Beginning of Year Mass. This was a significant event for our College as it was the first time this year that we have been able to gather as a whole.

We officially welcomed Fr Peter Zwaans, our new parish priest, to our community as he celebrated his first Mass with us. He challenged the community to 'Be the One' for others, which aligns with the College theme for 2022. We look forward to getting to know Fr Peter throughout the year and deeply appreciate his support and ministry in our community in the short time he has been in Mount Gambier.

Continuing a cherished tradition, the Reception students were escorted into their very first Mass at the College by their Year 12 buddies, symbolising the beginning and the end of the students' educational journeys - each of them special and significant in their own individual way.

Our newly elected Year 6, Year 9 and Year 12 leaders were also blessed and commissioned as they begin their leadership roles in the College community.
