Reception - Year 6 Sports Day

09.03.22

On Friday 4 March, we held our R-6 Sports Day, with students and staff getting into the spirit of the day with their Founder colours and singing voices!

Although the weather was less than ideal it didn’t dampen students’ enthusiasm, as all participating Year levels got involved and gave their all to win their Founder Teams points, competing in running events, long jump, discus and Tug of War, to name a few.

Unfortunately, the rain set in earlier than forecast and did not look like letting up for the rest of the day, so our Sports Day came to an abrupt end mid-morning. Years 3-6 has been rescheduled for next Thursday. Normal lessons until 10:15am where Sports Day will resume until 3:15pm. We look forward to reconvening for the R-2 Sports Day later in the year.

We’d like to thank all the Staff who helped with the big job of setting up, the parents who attended and the students who participated positively all morning.

Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
