16.02.22

Year 10 student Joshua Milan is a member of the Australian Air Force Cadets (AAFC) and at the end of 2021 was awarded a prestigious perpetual trophy for being the best cadet on bivouacs. This involves teaching, camping and survival skills as well as bush cooking using defence force ration packs. Over the summer holidays Joshua was also selected to participate in a demanding 2-week promotion course at the Edinburgh Air Force base near Adelaide. He passed the course and has been promoted to Corporal.

The AAFC is open to all interested students from the age of 13 and up and consists of a vibrant group meeting at the barracks of 612 Squadron at Mountt Gambier Airport weekly during school terms. Please contact Joshua or check out the AAFC website if you'd like more information.
