2022 Male School Captain Riley Turnbull

31.01.22

In 2010  I began at Tenison Woods College as a reception student. I am very grateful to have the privilege to complete 12 years of schooling here and I feel very privileged to be finishing as one of the School Captain’s, as I always have looked up to them throughout the years.

Whilst not at school I’m involved in local soccer, as a player in the u17s and as a coach for senior women, u16 girls and u11s. With my leadership skills gathered from soccer and school, I have been able to secure a job working at the treehouse play café, and Kaboom family entertainment. I am also an instructor at Swimskool Mount Gambier where I began as an assistant teacher then moving into an instructor. I really enjoy teaching the kids who are eager to learn and in turn I enjoy learning from them.

I welcome all students to come and meet me, as I am eager to learn about different and new ideas to enhance the school community. Together with Tess and the other student leaders I hope we are able to make 2022 a very memorable year for everyone at Tenison Woods College. With our leadership we will encourage student involvement and support in all events that occur.

In 2022 we ask students to ‘Be the one’ to strive and be the best they can be so they can let their light shine!

Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
