Leaving Families Function

24.09.21

I am delighted that on Thursday 23 September we took time to say farewell to a number of families who will complete their formal association with the College with their last child currently in Year 12.

During the evening I thanked families for the trust they have shown in the College over several years.

They have shared an outstanding journey with Tenison Woods College, and the College’s success is in no small way due to their partnership with the school. The College appreciates the loyalty of families to the school, for challenging us to be the best we could be, for acknowledging our successes and for forgiving us when we ‘dropped the ball.’

I also thanked the families for the legacy they have left other families – the legacy of outstanding facilities, the legacy of outstanding achievement, but most of all the legacy of an outstandingly pastoral community, where people feel welcomed, safe and respected. Other families will stand on their shoulders, on what they have helped create.

Many of these families have had a long association with the College and I was thrilled to celebrate with them and also thank those families who have committed many years to Catholic education in our region.
