District Basketball Day

18.08.21

On Wednesday 11 August, Tenison Woods College took four teams, a handful of Year 10 basketball coaches and twelve Year 9 umpires to the annual SAPSASA District Basketball Day. The day consisted of Year 6 and Year 7 students from around Mount Gambier playing off at the Icehouse to gain a spot at the Regional Basketball Day coming up in Week 5. Tom Daly, official overall coach, was so pleased with the student’s efforts and attitudes during the day. All students represented our College with pride and great sportsperson-ship.

We thank the Year 10 coaches who took time out of their day to share their knowledge with the teams. In addition, we were fortunate enough to supply twelve Year 9 umpires from the basketball academy who also did a great job, showcasing the talent that our College has. All four teams have made it to the Regional Day to be played on Friday 20 August (this Friday) at the Icehouse against winning sides in the region. We wish them all the very best.
