National Homelessness Week Solidarity Walk

11.08.21

Last Friday 6 August students in classes across the College walked in solidarity for people who are homeless. There were five stations set up throughout the Mall and Chapel with objects to consider, facts to learn, and a prayer to say together. Students not only learned more about the issue of homelessness but were also challenged to consider how they, and our community, can take action. Suggestions from classes included fundraising for a swag or sleeping bag, donating cans, warm clothing and bedding to Vinnies, and contacting Members of Parliament to discuss social housing funding.
