10 Years of Volunteer Service to the College

19.05.21

This week we acknowledge National Volunteer Week (NVW), as we celebrate the significant contribution of Australia’s almost six million volunteers.

Volunteer, Andrew Clements (pictured above) is in his 10th year of volunteering his time weekly to the Learning Support Program (LAP) and being a significant adult in the life of a child. Our College volunteers live by the principle of 'It takes a village to educate a child' and understand how significant LAP can be in the lives of our young. We thank our LAP volunteers, like Andrew, for their weekly, steadfast commitment to young lives.

At our College we are so thankful to the parents, students and staff who volunteer their time to our school and parish community in a variety of ways. Any parents who would like to offer their time to LAP, please contact Jess Lucas on 08 87255455 or at lucaj@tenison.catholic.edu.au

Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
