Australian Olympic Cycling Team Visit

19.05.21

On Friday 14 May, Tenison Woods College students were extremely lucky to have the Australian Olympic Cycling Team visit the College.

The team were in Mount Gambier to compete in the 84th running of the 100 Mile Classic. The Year 3-6 students hosted the team at their Junior School assembly, while the Year 7-10 High Performance Sports Program students sat in on a panel in the Pam Ronan Centre, with both groups getting the opportunity to listen to the athletes talk about their preparations for Tokyo and what it takes to be an elite athlete.

The College thanks the Australian Cycling Team for taking the time to visit the College. All students loved hearing their stories.

Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
