17.03.21

Recently the College submitted a story to the media regarding past student Lidya Mungu-Ashuze. It was pleasing to see the story published in local publications as well as on the Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) Facebook page. Below is an excerpt from the article:

Lidya Mungu-Ashuze, an old scholar from Tenison Woods College Mount Gambier has come a long way on her educational journey since arriving in Australia with her family from the Congo in 2013 without knowing a word of English. Lidya graduated Year 12 in 2020 with an ATAR of 88.55, achieving A’s in all her Year 12 subjects. Her long-term career goal is also coming to fruition, as she is enrolled to study Nursing at the University of South Australia in 2022. We wish Lidya all the very best as she continues working hard to forge her career path.
