8/9 Boys Cricket Team Advance to the Next Round

17.03.21

Round 2 of the 8/9 Twenty20 Cricket competition took place on Thursday 11 March with Tenison Woods College coming up against Millicent High School. Captain Jayden Prior won the toss and elected to bat on a beautiful morning. Openers Robbie Case and Angus Clarke pushed the scoring until Case was caught on 10. After losing Prior quickly, Jed Sims (39) and Angus Clarke (47) put on a nice partnership to continue the College’s tally. Jared Kuhl came to the crease and used his power hitting to bring a strong close to the Tenison Woods College innings. Kuhl hit eight 4’s on his way to 47. Special mention to Sam Domaschenz who played a pivotal role in the latter overs.

The boys then produced a well-rounded bowling performance to restrict Millicent to 3 for 67 off their 20 overs. Pick of the bowlers were Ollie Fitzgerald and Jacob Salmon who both produced a consistent line and length and troubled the MIllicent High School batsmen. The College now moves on to the next stage of the competition.
