Year 7 Wiwuni Camp Experience

02.12.20

Our Year 7 students were recently treated to a beautiful day out in Beachport as a part of their Year 7 Camp experience. While at Beachport, students spent time learning how to stand-up paddle board with Stillwater Paddleboards. The students had a lot of fun, and even had the opportunity to paddle with two friendly dolphins on the day.

Students and staff also went to Wiwuni Camp grounds, staying overnight and discovering the traditions of the Aboriginal people of the South East, the Boandik People. They learnt about Boandik connection to country and discovered the knowledge of tools, foods, culture and dance. Students had opportunities to explore the land and vegetation, engaging in Biodiversity awareness and flora and fauna identification.
