Old Scholar Jack Annear Captivates Year 10’s With Life Story

28.10.20

On Thursday 22 October, the Year 10 cohort had a visit from a Tenison Woods College Old Scholar Jack Annear. He shared invaluable lessons about resiliency and the strategies he employed to overcome a horrific car accident in 2007.

Jack captivated the audience with his sleek presentation and personal anecdotes related to his recollections of the accident. Jack went into great detail about the recovery process that involved multiple surgeries and even being prescribed one fast-food meal a day! The focus of the visit centred on the five main skills Jack employed to become the resilient person he is today.

Many students stayed afterwards including our Shine FM students who conducted an interview with Jack and to gather an understanding of how to apply some of these core ideas to their own lives. We look forward to Jack returning to the College in 2021.
