Students Explore the Creation Story of Craitbul

14.10.20

Year 4 students have been learning about the First Nations People of our region, the Boandik People, and the creation story of Craitbul. The story of Craitbul explains the creation of the mountains, volcanoes and lakes in Berrin (Mount Gambier). The students visited the Indigenous Garden at our College which was designed to reflect this story, and spent time sketching and discovering the names of the native plants. The students thoroughly enjoyed learning about and visiting the sites in the Craitbul story and looking at Mount Gambier through a different lens.

(L-R): Hiram Webster-Lawson, Emmy Jeffrey, Scarlet Ryan and Taylor Fenton at the College
