Year 10 Class Makes History at Local Competition

26.08.20

The Year 10 Child Studies students took on the challenge and role of fashion designers as they upcycled old clothing items into a glamorous outfit suited to the 1920’s theme at the local Recycled Runway competition held over the weekend. The students used their creativity and newly learned sewing skills to complete the outfit which was modelled by student Claire Brooker. The class made history as it was the very first time a Tenison Woods College team entered the competition. The two judges were scoring outfits for the ‘Best Effort’ prize and the ‘Overall Best Outfit’ prize. Unfortunately, the students were not successful in winning a prize, but I am incredibly proud of their efforts!
