Year 12 Drama Production Presented in a Different Way

19.08.20

On Tuesday 11 August, the Year 12 Stage 2 Drama students presented their individual studies for external moderation. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, their group production at the Wehl Street Theatre was cancelled.

Their individual tasks were adapted by:

• Ava Jones acting and presenting three monologues from different plays;

• Ethan Michielan designing and sewing the costumes;

• Liam Moulden in charge of set design and creating a model to-scale of his design for a production; and

• Tyler Redway writing the play inspired by one of his favourite albums.

Each student discussed their process and journey of exploration, which was a part of their assessment. The socially distanced audience were impressed by their efforts! Liam’s set design and Ethan’s costumes are currently on display in the Pan Ronan Centre administration area for the rest of Week 5, and will be in the Front Office during Week 6.

We are very proud of the students’ adaptability in what has been a very different year in Drama!
