Raising Hearts and Minds at Tenison Woods College

12.08.20

During Catholic Schools Open Week, August 10-16, Tenison Woods College is celebrating Raising Hearts and Minds of all students at the College.

Catholic Schools Open Week focuses on the difference a Catholic Education can make in a child’s life. Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions a parent has to make. Catholic Schools Open Week is a great opportunity for families to explore the benefits of a Catholic Education.

In 2021, the College will commence Year 7 as High School and encourages interested students from across the South East to enrol now for this exciting new opportunity to experience the difference Catholic Education can offer. Assistant Principal – Religious Identity and Mission Michelle Coote said “It is always exciting to show new families around the College and to discuss with them the way in which the unique identity of a Catholic school permeates every aspect of what we do and who we are, both on campus and in the wider community”.

With COVID-19 restrictions and considerations around social distancing, the College encourages prospective families to see what is on offer, by viewing the Whole College Virtual Tour, but also welcomes families to book an individulised tour.

Principal David Mezinec comments “Tenison Woods College promotes ‘Communities within Communities’, making sure each student feels connected and is supported by their peers and teachers. The strength of an education at Tenison Woods College is in the Pastoral Care provided to every student and ensuring every learner has a place, every learner has a pathway and every learner will shine. And that’s the Tenison Woods College way.”

Tenison Woods College respectfully acknowledges the Boandik people are the First Nations people of the Mount Gambier South Eastern region of South Australia and pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, past, present and emerging.
