Sparks in the Year 8 Pastoral Care Program

24.06.20

In conjunction with the Year 8 Pastoral Care Program, students have been exploring important aspects of life like teamwork, planning, resilience, and reflection through a survival campfire exercise. The Year 8 boys were given a range of ‘fuel’ materials, a small metal container to hold their fire, and a survival style ‘Flint and Steel’ to spark their project. We discussed lifelong metaphors of having a spark and fuelling our learning and we are happy to report there were several successful campfires lit!
