140 Years of Mercy Education

06.05.20

Today we particularly shine a light on the wonderfully committed and courageous women who journeyed from Dublin, via Argentina to Millicent and then Mount Gambier to leave a rich legacy, as expressed poignantly in the Mercy Keys of Compassion, Loyalty, Justice, Integrity, Responsibility and Mutual Respect. These are core values that are an integral part of the way of life for our community. So, in acknowledging the journey of these women we also say thank you; a thank you that carries the weight of our commitment to add to the story and steward this story for our time.

At this time, we think about those on whose shoulders we stand, and this week commences the 140th anniversary of Mercy Education in South Australia, from Dublin via Argentina.
