Troy Bell Visits the Year 7 Cohort

19.03.20

Our Year 7’s are preparing to use their current in class learning on Liveability to apply their knowledge and understandings to Mount Gambier. They will be developing proposals to improve the liveability of Mount Gambier, specifically focussing to improve one or more aspects of fitness, sporting opportunities, health and wellbeing for Mount Gambier’s residents.

On Friday 13 March, Troy Bell, our local member for SA, came to the College to share with the students how the development of the Rail Lands trail went from an idea to conception. The students gained first hand understandings of the different phases that the development of the Rail Lands went through, including the hiccups along the way. Troy also shared how the new pump track idea was introduced to our local Council and has already seen the popularity of the facility.

Troy was eager to hear the students share their ideas, and is looking to support them further in working on their proposals!
