Open Boys and Girls Tennis Success

27.02.20

Both the Open Boys and Girls Tennis teams won all their round robin games against three other local schools at Olympic Park on Tuesday 18 February. The teams played both doubles and singles, all to six games. The girls team had a late inclusion with Year 8 student Jess Stutley replacing the injured Emily Jolley. After discussion, all the girls wanted to play fourth position, they won a close match against Mount High by five games. Their other games were all comprehensive wins. Well done to Jess Stutley, Jorja Mitchell, Hayley Pearson and Tess Kenseley.

The boys team (pictured above) comprising of Mathis Herzog (our French exchange student), Ben Gaffney, George White and Noah Gazzard had three easy wins against the other schools. Their doubles play was particularly entertaining.

All students showed great enthusiasm, despite the inclement weather, and were impressive representatives for our school. Next step for the students is to play in Adelaide later this term.
