Year 8/9 Boys Cricketers Through to the Next Round

27.02.20

Congratulations to our talented Year 8/9 boys cricket team who have made a wonderful start to the 2020 T-20 cricket competition. Playing at Grant High School last Wednesday, the boys have successfully reached the next round against Unity College on 12 March by defeating both Grant High School and Millicent High School in a tri-series carnival.

In the first match against Grant High School, the boys set a very competitive 85 from the reduced 18 overs, ably led by Captain Jed Sims, all-rounders Jack Lawrence, Jarod Kuhl and Fergus Moore who evenly contributed to create that defendable score.

During second match Tenison Woods College batted first with a wonderful 32 runs from Jed Sims. He was well supported by Angus Clarke and Alex Walters who contributed to make an overall 82. Millicent competed well and the pressure was on our bowlers to get a break through. A big thank you to our sports trainee Nick Kourmouzis for being our team scorer. Well done boys, we look forward to our next round.
