Students ‘Shine’ at Junior School Arts Showcase

18.12.19

Monday saw the Junior School host its inaugural Arts Showcase where

learning from the Arts was celebrated. Highlights came from all year levels in the Junior School, giving the audience a taste of what has been accomplished in the Arts this year. The Showcase included performances by Junior and Primary Choir, Storm Drum Corps, Year 5 dancers, Year 4 tableau artists and Year 3 mime
artists.
Other highlights included watching Reception weather reports, Year 3
documentaries, Year 4 biblical trailers and Year 5 ‘Green Screen’ book trailers.
The Year 1 students explained different camera shots that they learnt about during Media Arts and we viewed some very professional looking
advertisements that the Year 2 students created using the elements of graphic design on the IPads.
Overall, it was a visual feast and testament to the creativity and talent of
students in the Junior School.
It was a wonderful celebration of the different ways our students shine. A
special thank you to everyone involved.
